Yogyakarta (ANTARA News) - Norway as producer of the world`s best quality salmon is seeking to develop a new market in Indonesia.

"Indonesia is a potential market of salmon from Norway. We wish to market the best quality salmon in Indonesia," visiting Norwegian Crown Prince Hakoon Magnus said during a visit to Yogyakarta in central Java here on Wednesday.

He said salmon is Norway`s biggest export commodity and therefore he would continue promoting it across the world so that all people would know it well.

"Besides salmon, Norway also has other best quality sea products which we also would continue marketing," he said.

Before visiting Yogyakarta Prince Hakoon was received by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the State Palace on Monday.

"During his visit to Indonesia this time he carried a 99-member business delegation. We wish to have better economic cooperation with Indonesia not only in the fishery but also other sectors," he said.

Norway has offered cooperation among others in tunnel, communications, infrastructure development, energy and forestry sectors, renewable energy and others.

Prince Hakoon`s wife Princess Mette-Marift meanwhile said Norway has considered Indonesia`s position very important and therefore bilateral relations between the two countries must continue to be improved.

"Indonesia is a very important partner for Norway. Although they have differences the two countries can learn from each other," she said.
