Mataram (ANTARA News) - The bodies of five suspected terrorists, who were shot dead by the elite police counter-terrorism team known as Detachment 88 (Densus 88), were taken to Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on Saturday for an autopsy.

Police said the suspected terrorists were shot dead by Densus 88 anti-terror police during a raid on their hideout in Sila Rato, Bima District, at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Two of the corpses arrived at the Bhayangkara police hospital here at 9 a.m. local time on Saturday, and the remaining three will follow later.

Densus 88 anti-terror police also shot dead three other suspected terrorists at 5:30 a.m. local time on Saturday in the Trei mountain area in Dompu District.
