The panel declared Angie guilty of corruption.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A panel of judges of anti-corruption court Tipikor sentenced Angelina Patricia Pingkan Sondakh (Angie), a defendant in a budget corruption case involving two ministries, to 4.5 years` imprisonment on Thursday.

Besides the jail term, a fine of Rp250 million was imposed on Angie, in lieu of six additional months of imprisonment.
"Based on the accounts of witnesses, the defendant has accepted Rp12.58 billion and US$2.350 million in bribe money from Group Permai company," the panel stated.
"She accepted the money through a courier, witness Mindo Rosalina Manulang (Rosa) and through a courier of her own," it pointed out.
The witnesses` testimonies were reinforced with evidence in the form of transcripts of a BlackBerry text message found in Manulang`s handphone and in the convict`s handphone.
The sentence was lighter than the prosecutors` demand for 12 years in jail, a fine of Rp500 million and recovery of the bribe money.
In response to the verdict, Angie said she would consider whether to appeal it.
