"I came myself as I obey the law and on advice from my lawyer."Semarang (ANTARA News) - Former regent of Sragen Untung Wiyono has surrendered to the Central Java high prosecution office after the Supreme Court annulled his recent acquittal from corruption charges by the Semarang special corruption court.
The Semarang corruption court declared Untung not guilty in a corruption case involving Rp11.2 billion in state fund during his service in 2003-2010.

The Supreme Court, however, decided in favor of an appeal filed by of the prosecution and gave him a seven years imprisonment with a fine of Rp200 million.
He is also required to return the state fund he was found to have embezzled by the Supreme Court.
Untung arrived at the office of the Central Java high prosecution office this morning with his lawyer Dani Sriyanto.
From the prosecution office Untung was driven to the first class class Kedungpane prison in Semarang.
Untung Wiyono told reporters he did agree with the term of surrender, saying "I came myself as I obey the law and on advice from my lawyer."
He said he had an experience to help develop the nation into a better condition "wherever I am placed."
He said he had continued to work as a businessman and lived in Jakarta after he was no longer a regent in Sragen.
He said he had not received a copy of the decision of the Supreme Court, but he would challenge the decision by demanding a review.
Assistant for Special Criminal Case at the High Prosecution office Wilhelmus Lingitubun said he appreciated the decision made by Untung Wiyono to come himself and surrendered saving the prosecution office from having to send a team to arrest him.
