Yogyakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Air Force and the US Pacific Air Force will hold a joint training called "Pacific Angel" here from April 22 to 28 this year.

"The joint training in engineering capacity and medical capacity is aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries and to practice exchange of information," Col. Frits MR, deputy director of "Pacific Angel" exercise, said here on Tuesday.

The place for the joint training in medical capacity will be the Madurejo village public hall, Frits said at a meeting with Yogyakarta deputy governor Paku Alam IX.

Joint training in engineering capacity will be centered in health centers of Puskesmas Induk Gamping 2, Puskesmas Pembantu Trihanggo Gamping, and TK ABA Bleber, he said.

"Apart from the military medical doctors and nurses , the joint training will also involve paramedics from the health service and certain universities," Frits, who is head of the Hardjolukito Air Force Hospital said.

There will be five topics in the medical capacity training including HIV, TBC, healthy living style , teeth and DHF.

Paku Alam IX said he appreciated the plan of the military and the Uspacaf to share experience and knowledge through the training.(*)
