Frankly I chose the third option which does not depend on the market nor anti-market.
Singapore (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono opted for the third way over the economic development to create and develop more prosperous community.

Indonesia was not anti-market nor pro-market, but opted for the third way, President Yudhoyono told a Thomson Reuters newsmaker event in Singapore on Tuesday.

"Frankly I chose the third option which does not depend on the market nor anti-market," he said.

According to Yudhoyono, market is needed to develop the economy, and the government`s role is also required in the development.

Therefore Yudhoyono has made an economic policy which is pro-economic growth, pro-employment, pro-poverty alleviation, and pro-environment.

The strategy policy has so far been able to produce good results for the country, namely an economic growth at six percent despite the global economic crisis, and the reduction of poverty rate.
