Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Jero Wacik said here on Friday that his ministry plans to submit the draft revised 2013 state budget to the House of Representatives next week.
"We expect the draft revised state budget discussion to be completed within two weeks," he said.
According to him the ministry is still continuously discussion compensation for the people in case the fuel price is raised.
"After the compensation is approved, then the price increase will be decided," he said.
The government has planned four compensation programs namely cash assistance for the poor (BLSM), rice for the poor (Raskin), students assistance (BSM), and a family empowerment program (PKH).
In addition, there will be other kinds of assistance from ministries and local governments given through various bazaars to be held by the state-owned enterprises and private companies.
Jero said cash compensation must be given to make the public have a sense of security."That`s the way we protect the underprivileged," he said.
The government still has yet to announce the planned fuel price rise.
However, earlier on various occasions Jero Wacik has mentioned that the subsidized fuel and diesel fuel price could be raised up to Rp6,500 from the current price at Rp4,500.
