"It will happen not too long. It will be this month or this week," Presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha said.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha said here on Sunday that he could not as yet confirm about the name of the new finance minister to be appointed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono soon.

"Regarding the name I could not confirm about it until after the President officially announces it. So I could not tell further about it," he said to ANTARA by phone.

He made the statement in response to questions about rumors that a new finance minister would soon be appointed by the President to replace current acting finance minister Hatta Rajasa.

Julian said President Yudhoyono would announce the definitive finance minister soon.

"It will happen not too long. It will be this month or this week," he added.

President Yudhoyono recently appointed coordinating minister for economic affairs Hatta Rajasa to become an acting finance minister to replace Agus Martowardojo who would become the next governor of the central bank to replace Darmin Nasution this month.(*)
