Jayapura, Papua (ANTARA News) - At least 21 people are dead and seven others are still trap inside Freeport`s collapsed facility in Papua Province, the US gold and copper mining company`s Vice President Corporate Communications Daisy Primayanti said here on Tuesday.

"Rescue team is still searching the remaining victims. We will keep updating the public about the evacuation process," she said.

According to Freeport`s data there were 38 workers being trapped inside the collapsed underground facility in Papua province. Out of the 38 people, 10 survive, 21 were dead while seven others are still missing.

Earlier Tembagapura Police Chief Adjunct Commissioner Sudirman said the 38 workers were in class room for a training program when the landslide incident happened.(*)
