Let us continue to strengthen tolerance and religious harmony in the country."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono called on all parties to jointly strengthen inter-faith tolerance as Indonesia is a country with a pluralistic society.
"Indonesia is a diverse country that believes in God," the president said on his Twitter account @ SBYudhoyono in Jakarta on Friday.
The Head of State said that the values of tolerance must be developed further.
"Let us continue to strengthen tolerance and religious harmony in the country," the president said.
Previously, President Yudhoyono received the World Statesman Award in New York.
The President said that this award is the result of the contribution of various parties to achieve a better Indonesia, at the award handover ceremony.
