In the voting, of the 519 House members who attended the plenary session, 338 supported the government`s proposed draft revised state budget and 181 others rejected it.
House Speaker Marzuki Alie who chaired the plenary, said with the result of the voting, the House decided to enact into law the bill of the 2013 Revised State Budget.
House members who accepted the draft revised state budget came from five factions of the Democratic Party, the Golkar Party, the National Mandate party (PAN) the United Development Party (PPP) and the National Awakening Party (PKB).
Members who rejected the draft came from four House factions of the Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) and the People`s Conscience Party (Hanura).
In the meantime, Finance Minister Chatib Basri expressed thanks and appreciation to the House over the endorsement of the 2013 Revised State Budget.
"With full of patience, the government followed and listened to the House factions` overviews, proposals and constructive suggestions with regard to the bill of the revised budget," he said.
In the 2013 Revised State Budget, state revenues and grant were set at Rp1,502 trillion and state expenditure at Rp1,726.1 trillion with a deficit of 2.38 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) or Rp224.2 trillion.
The state revenues and grant consisted of domestic revenues amounting to Rp1,497.5 trillion and grant Rp4.5 trillion.
Domestic revenues comprise Rp1,148.3 trillion from tax and Rp349.2 trillion from non-tax sources.
State expenditure is set at Rp1,726.1 trillion, consisting of Rp1,196.8 trillion government expenditure and Rp529.3 trillion transfers to the regions.
Fuel oil subsidy spending is set at Rp199.8 trillion but the electricity subsidy does not undergo a change, namely Rp99.8 trillion. The volume of subsidized fuel does not change either, namely 48 million kiloliters.
In the meantime, the macro assumptions in the 2013 revised state budget among others cover economic growth at 6.3 percent, inflation rate at 7.2 percent, the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar at Rp9,600, three-month state treasury bill (SPN) interest rate at 5 percent, Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) at 108 dollars per barrel, oil lifting at 840,000 barrels per day and gas lifting at 1,240 thousand barrels equivalent oil.
