Psy currently staying in the United States..."Seoul (ANTARA News/Yonhap) - South Korean rapper Psy`s "Gangnam Style" has surpassed 1.7 billion YouTube views, the global video-sharing website said Friday.
The 2012 global mega-hit recorded 1.77 billion views on YouTube as of 2 p.m. Friday, 50 days after it exceeded the 1.6 billion milestone.
"Gangnam Style" was the first video to hit 1 billion views on YouTube, a milestone it reached last December.
Psy`s follow-up single "Gentleman" has been watched slightly over 462 million times since its release on April 13.
"Psy is currently staying in the United States and will work on a new single until August," his management firm, YG Entertainment, said.
