SINGAPORE, July 25, 2013 (ANTARA/PRNewswire) -- A major government-sponsored bank in Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia will be the first to roll out a mobile Point of Sale (mPOS) in Indonesia with Swiff technology, a trademark of SCCP Group, and hosted and supported by Indopay. To mark the 67th anniversary of their founding, BNI announced the availability of their new mPOS solution on Friday at the Jakarta Convention Center. In this launch, BNI has found the winning combination of Swiff's industry leading payment solution and Indopay's local infrastructure and support capabilities. BNI now provides a secure, robust solution that merchants can trust.

"Bank Negara Indonesia is focused on providing excellent products and services to cultivate our relationship with customers. We are proud to partner with Swiff and Indopay to be the first Indonesian bank to offer the most innovative service in the payment industry," said Dodit W. Probojakti - General Manager Cards Business Division.

Through the successful partnership with Indopay, a leading e-payment solution provider in Indonesia, Swiff is now ready to deliver and deploy its mobile payment solution, Swiff Pay, as a managed service. The Swiff application, which is hosted by Indopay in their PCI/DSS compliant data center, then connects to the bank's host system. Consequently, there is no need for the bank to make a costly investment in infrastructure and support resources, as Indopay provides the solution as a service. It also significantly expedites time to market for bank customers.

"Our alliance with Swiff was a natural selection. Swiff's secure authentication and unique mPOS capabilities complement our existing payments infrastructure and local support capabilities," says Darwin Sariaatmadja, CEO of Indopay. "Our teams are leading the Indonesian market in delivering a secure and compliant mobile commerce solution. It is a winning partnership."

Unlike other mobile payment companies, Swiff is not a payment aggregator. As a technology provider and partner to the banking and financial industry, Swiff's innovative and unique technology give banks the tools to roll out mobile strategies that enable bank-level secured, authenticated transactions. Additionally, Swiff provides a full suite of mobile commerce solutions that are all embedded with a Multi-Factor Authentication application, quickly identifying any fraudulent use. The ability to seamlessly integrate with 3rd party applications allows merchants to use their mobile device as a business solution, not just as a payment terminal.

"The Indonesian market represents a huge opportunity for Swiff mPOS as the majority of business to consumer transactions are still paid for with cash. BNI will now be changing the standard for payments in Indonesia, enabling more merchants to accept card payments and giving consumers more convenience. Swiff is proud to have powered this incredible progress and our partnership with Indopay strengthens the proposition by providing BNI with local and tailored support," said Ross Nicholson, Swiff's Head of the Regional Business Unit for Asia and President APAC.

Having designed its mPOS infrastructure, Swiff Pay, to fit the Indonesian banking standards and local market, Swiff is now capable of providing their solution to partnering banks in Indonesia in a much more accelerated time frame! With a wave of bank implementations across multiple continents and one of the three vendors certified under the Visa Ready Program, Swiff is being recognized as a market leader.
