Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The police`s special anti terror squad known as Densus 88 has arrested a number of terrorist suspects in raids of two locations in the West Java city of Bekasi, 20 kilometers east of Jakarta.

Jakarta police spokesman Sr. Comr Rikwanto said police also confiscated a number of locally assembled bombs, firearms and bullets in the raids on Tuesday night.

"The explosives, firearms and bullets were found in the raid at Jalan Pintu Air, Harapan Mulya, where Densus 88 arrested a suspect Iswahyudi (39), Rikwanto said here on Wednesday.

Iswahyudi, who was known as a trader, rented a house there for two years, he said.

At Jalan Mator Hasibuan, the team of Densus 88 arrested four other suspects.

One of the four suspects, Khaerul, was held by Densus 88 and the three others were handed over to the Bekasi police, Rikwanto said giving no name of the other three .

Earlier on Tuesday, the team raided a number of locations suspected of being hiding places of terrorists in Bekasi.
