SINGAPORE, Aug. 21, 2013 (ANTARA/PRNewswire) -- CLOUDSEC Congress 2013, Singapore, 21 August 2013 -- To defend against increasing cyber-attacks, Trend Micro Incorporated (www.trendmicro.com) (TYO: 4704; TSE: 4704) is introducing comprehensive services to improve organizations' detection of targeted attacks. Announced at CLOUDSEC Congress 2013 (www.cloudsec.co), Trend Micro Custom Defence Services will first be available in Asia Pacific.

To support the services' roll-out in the region, Trend Micro is establishing TrendLabs Singapore -- bringing malware forensic and analysis capabilities to Singapore. Trend Micro is also partnering with e-Cop (www.e-cop.net/index.html) to offer these services across Asia Pacific.

"Today's security defences are insufficient against targeted attacks, and organizations must assume they will be compromised," said Tom Kellermann, Global Vice President, Cyber Security, Trend Micro. "The launch of Trend Micro Custom Defence Services is timely in the wake of increasing regional and localized attacks."

With targeted attacks, improved visibility and intelligence is critical. The core of Trend Micro Custom Defence solution (http://enterprise.apac.trendmicro.com/APT/) is the Deep Discovery (http://enterprise.apac.trendmicro.com/APT/custom-defense-solutions.php) solution, comprised of Deep Discovery Inspector which provides network traffic inspection, advanced threat detection, real-time analysis and reporting; and Deep Discovery Advisor which provides custom sandbox analysis, visibility into network security events -- all in a unified platform.

Trend Micro Custom Defence Services includes health checks of critical systems and network traffic, advisory services to keep security plans updated, remote monitoring and alert services to augment security operations, on-site breach investigations, cleaning up of compromised systems and development of customized signatures based on malicious files collected.

"Our partnership with Trend Micro reaffirms e-Cop's commitment to deliver trusted information security and risk management services to enterprises and governments across the region," said Yow Tau Keon, CEO, e-Cop Group. "Through Trend Micro's Custom Defence Services, we can help organizations adapt their response to targeted attacks, to quickly mitigate and minimize the impact."

As part of Trend Micro's commitment to Asia Pacific, Trend Micro is establishing TrendLabs Singapore, focusing on breach investigation and incident response.

The creation of in-country focused labs like TrendLabs Singapore improves SLA response time for Singapore customers, strengthens security capabilities reinforcing Singapore as a trusted and robust infocomm hub.
