GARDEN CITY, New York and KISSING, Germany, Sept. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- invendo medical GmbH, manufacturer and marketer of a novel single-use, computer-assisted colonoscopy system, announced that it has appointed Markus Fieber as Chief Operating Officer and Martin Giersiepen as Chief Technology Officer. Both bring substantial relevant expertise to strengthen invendo's industrializations activities.

NEW COO Markus Fieber will manage the production scale-up of invendo's single-use colonoscopy system. Mr. Fieber is an international executive with a senior level track record of more than 17 years in general management and production. He has comprehensive international working experience in Germany, UK, China and Mexico, working for world-class automotive suppliers including Bosch and Valeo where he served as General Manager and Plant Director respectively, as well as medical device companies such as Johnson & Johnson where he served as Managing Director. Key aspects of his expertise cover industrializing processes, reducing production costs, assuring quality and delivery performance and building successful teams. Fieber holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Aachen.

New CTO Martin Giersiepen will focus on the industrialization of product and processes, while at the same time working on invendo's suite of next-generation products. Previously, Martin Giersiepen has been recognized for his important work researching blood damage caused by implants (Giersiepen Equation). During his career, he has held senior management positions at Beiersdorf, EOS, Braun (Gillette) and Soehnle, with a particular focus on diagnostic and consumer healthcare products. Under his tenure at Braun, the dental product group reached sales of more than € 2 billion. For mass-volume consumer product manufacturers Rowenta and Leifheit, he transferred more than 60 products from development to production at plants in Singapore, China and Mexico. Giersiepen was NPI Director with international R&D centers in California and the United Kingdom, and led the German site of Camera Dynamics/Vitec PLC as General Manager. He also holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Aachen.
