Sukabumi, W Java (ANTARA News) - The West Java chapter of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Union has noted since 2007 up to 2013, at least 30 migrant workers hailing from West Java lost contact with their families for several years.

"The estimated number is only part of the problematic migrant workers, because many of them haven`t yet been recorded and their families are also reluctant to report such case to relevant agencies," chairman of West Java chapter of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Union, Jejen Nurjanah told Antara here on Sunday.

Jejen said the problematic migrant workers normally work in the Middle Eastern countries and Malaysia.

According to Jejen, his agency has coordinated with the Foreign Affairs Ministry, and the Manpower and Transmigration Affairs Ministry relating to the problematic migrant workers.

Jejen also said from so many cases of loosing contact only a few of the migrant workers can be found thank to cooperation of all parties.
