"President Obama is scheduled to arrive in Bali on October 5 although it could still change," Lt. Col. Kadek Aria, the 9th Military Region Command's deputy spokesman revealed on Tuesday.
He added that Indonesian military personnel had already conducted an intensive coordination with security officials from the US in connection with the arrival of the US President.
He pointed out that no special security arrangements had been made by the Indonesian military (TNI) in connection with President Obama's arrival, and that the security would be imparted based on standard operating procedures.
"There are no special measures. We will carry out standard operating procedures," Aria stated.
He added that President Obama's security would be managed by the US Secret Service.
The US had earlier ordered a special parking lot at the Ngurah Rai airport while President Obama is in Bali.
Two U.S. presidential planes will be involved in the visit, including Air Force One.
Meanwhile, a helipad, which is considered the biggest in Indonesia and has been built in the Peninsula area of Nusa Dua, will be used by President Obama.
"We are coordinating with the U.S. and therefore we are willing to accommodate. But all heads of state will be provided with similar security measures," Aria stated.
