Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Six survivors of a deadly army helicopter crash are being treated at Tarakan Hospital.

The helicopter crashed in Malinau, North Kalimantan at around 11 am on Saturday, according to TNI (military) spokesman Rear Admiral Iskandar Sitompul.

The survivors have been identified as first sergeant Joko and chief private Siburian, along with four civilians, including Mendan Bilung, Albert Daud, Fredy Usang and Dasem Njuk.

Colonel Inf Legowo, the information head of the Mulawarman/VI Provincial Military Command, said here on Saturday that the six survivors are being treated for serious burns.
