Ban Ki-moon hopes that Iran will participate in future meetings on Syria.New York (ANTARA News/IRNA-OANA) - Spokesman of the UN Secretary General said in spite of the fact that Iran is not participating in the Geneva II conference, Ban Ki-moon still believes that Tehran has a very important and effective role to help settlement of crisis in Syria.
According to the spokesman, Ban Ki-moon hopes that Iran will participate in future meetings on Syria.
Farhan Haq, replying to a question of reporters concerning future cooperation between Tehran and the UN on Syrian crisis issue, said that the secretary general still emphasizes Irans key role to help settle Syrian crisis and will try that Tehran continues its international cooperation in this direction.
