"It has to do with Pak Wawan`s (Wardana) case, not Bu (Mme) Airin," stated T.B. Sukatma, lawyer of Airin`s husband, Tubagus Chaeri Wardana.Tangerang, Banten (ANTARA News) - The investigators of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated eight bundles of documents from the residence of Tangerang Selatan Mayor Airin Rachmi Diany in Alam Sutera, Serpong, Banten, on Monday.
"After conducting a search of the house, the KPK confiscated eight bundles," stated T.B. Sukatma, lawyer of Airins husband, Tubagus Chaeri Wardana.
He claimed that not many, but only some documents have been seized and they are not very important.
The KPK investigators secured the documents in a cardboard box and suitcase.
"So, only some documents in eight bundles have been placed in the suitcase," he pointed out.
TB Sukatma hinted that the probe was connected to Tubagus Chaeri Wardanas case.
"It has to do with Pak Wawans (Wardana) case, not Bu (Mme) Airin," he insisted.
Tubagus Chaeri Wardana has been detained as a suspect for his alleged involvement in a corruption case linked to the Lebak District Heads election and the procurement of medical equipment at the Regional General Hospital in the Banten province.
On Monday, the KPK conducted raids at several locations in connection with Tubagus Chaeri Wardanas alleged involvement in money laundering activities.
Tubagus is also the younger brother of Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah, who is also currently detained on charges of alleged involvement in a corruption case.(*)
