The presiding judge of the Mataram district court Bagus Iriawan said Joseph was guilty of drug abuse.
Joseph, who met a traffic accident at the Senggigi highway in October, 30, last year after was arrested by police after he was found in possession of methamphetamine.
He told the court he bought the drug from someone he did not know at a cafe in Senggigi, West Lombok.
