All GCC member states stand by Qatar in the face of those who try to cast doubts against Qatar`s well-deserved right to host this global sports event.Riyadh (ANTARA News) - Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Abdullatif Al-Zayani, strongly condemned as "hostile and tendentious" media campaign against Qatar for its successful bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2022.
"All GCC member states stand by Qatar in the face of those who try to cast doubts against Qatars well-deserved right to host this global sports event," he told reporters here on Sunday.
"Qatar won this right through a fair competition as testified by everybody," Al-Zayani affirmed.
He added that its a source of pride for all GCC states and the southwest Asian countries that one of them will host this historic event.
