... I give myself entirely to God. What is good for God is good for me... "
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A lawmaker of the ruling Democratic Party Sutan Bhatoegana said he was ready to be thrown in a detention cell of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) which charges him with corruption.

Sutan, who is chairman of the Commission VII of the House of Representatives dealing with energy and mining, was summoned by KPK to face investigation on Tuesday.

It was the first time he was summoned for investigation after he was named suspect last month.

"I give myself entirely to God. What is good for God is good for me," he said .

He was charged with receiving graft during a debate on the state budget at the energy and mineral resource ministry in 2013.

He is facing a maximum 20 year jail term with a fine of up to Rp1 billion if found guilty .

The charge against Sutan is related to the case of former head of the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulator (SKK Migas) Rudi Rubiandini, who was already serving a 7-year jail term.

Rudi told his investigators and the court he gave 200,000 US dollar to Sutan via Tri Julianto, another lawmaker of the ruling party as Idul Fitri bonus.

Both Sutan and Tri Julianto denied the charge.

Sutan is also accused of asking SKK Migas for favor to ensure that PT.Timas Suplindo would win a tender for the procurement of an offshore facility of Chevron, a US oil company .

The name of Sutan was once listed as a member of the board of directors of PT Timas.
