If there is a chance I will go to visit Israel
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Presidential election candidate Prabowo Subianto has donated one billion rupiah to the Palestinians following the Israeli air offensive on the Gaza Strip in Palestine.

"Action needs to be taken to help our Palestinians brothers and sisters by collecting donation, even though just a few, and today, I donate one billion rupiah," Prabowo stated in his oration during a rally at the Hotel Indonesia Boulevard in Jakarta, on Friday.

Thousands of Islamic Organizations members from Prosperous and Fairness Party (PKS), Islamic Defense Troops (LPI), and Islamic Defense Front (FPI) rallied at Hotel Indonesia Boulevard in Jakarta, condemning Israels military attack on the Gaza Strip.

Prabowo emphasized that the donation worth one billion will soon be handed over to the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia.

"Whether directly to the Palestinian Ambassador or through a humanitarian organization, since we plan to send volunteers too," he added during a press conference after delivering the oration.

Prabowo stressed that Israels military offensive is against humanity, and Indonesia has urged Israel to stop its bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

If he wins the presidential election, Prabowo claimed that he will visit Palestine to show Indonesias support for the complete freedom of Palestine.

"If there is a chance I will go to visit Israel," he stressed.

On Thursday (July 10), Israel intensified its bombardment of the Gaza Strip in an offensive against the Hamas militant group, with more than 900 targets attacked so far, saying that it was doing everything possible to avoid civilian casualties in the crowded urban landscape.

More than 85 people have been killed, including dozens of civilians, and over 300 wounded since the offensive began on Tuesday, Palestinian medical officials noted as quoted by the Associated Press (AP).
