Mataram, W Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA News) - Indonesian athletes have won three gold medals at the Asian Sport Climbing Championship (ASSCC) 2014, which is held every two years by the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC).

The Vice President of Indonesian Sport Climbing Federation, Dino Izaak, said here Saturday that the Indonesian athletes achievement was recognized at the Asian level.

"We are able to compete with the other Asian athletes," he said.

The three medals won by the Indonesian athletes were in the Speed category for men and women, and Boulder category for men. In the Speed category for men, Indonesia was awarded three medals.

"We are proud of the athletes," Dino said, adding that the men who won the medals are Fajri Azhari and Aspar Jaelolo from Jakarta and Rindi Sufriyanto from East Java.

In the Speed category for women, Indonesia won two medals, a gold and a bronze. The gold was awarded to Tita Supita, while the third rank was won by Muji Mulyani.

In the Boulder category for men, Aan Aviansyah won a gold medal after competing against two Chinese athletes. In addition, Aan also won a silver medal in the Lead category.
