The suspect, identified by his initial as G, is the director of PT Sapta, a partner in bus procurement at the Jakarta transport office, said Sarjono Turin, the head of the anti-corruption crime sub-directorate of Junior Attorney General for Special Crime, Attorney Generals Office.
The Attorney Generals Office had earlier named two suspects in the case. They are GNW, the chief of the traffic engineering section at the Jakarta transport office and HH, a retired civil servant of the transport office.
G was named suspect after the investigation team found evidence of his involvement in the alleged graft case, Sarjono noted.
"Lets await further developments. We will interrogate the new suspect as soon as possible," he added.
The graft case has nothing to do with the 2013 case of alleged corruption in bus procurement for the TransJakarta busway network.
The 2013 graft case is related to the procurement of buses worth Rp1 trillion and the repairs of buses worth Rp500 billion.
The Attorney Generals Office has so far named seven suspects in the case, including UP, former head of the Jakarta transport office, and P, director of transportation technology and system center at the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology.
