Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesia House of Representatives (DPR) has agreed to involve the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) in the revision of MD3 Law as well as an amendment of the 1945 Constitution.

The deputy chairman of DPD, Farouk Muhammad, said here on Sunday that in view of the agreement the DPD on Monday would start discussing the revision of the law on the Peoples Consultative Assembly (MPR), the House of Representatives (DPR), the regional legislative assembly (DPRD) and the DPD as well as an amendment of the 1945 Constitution linked to DPD empowerment.

The DPD would discuss the revision of MD3 Law and amendment of the 1945 Constitution along with political party factions from both the Red-White as well as the Great Indonesia coalitions in line with the Constitutional Courts ruling on March 27, 2013.

Farouk said DPD would continue to optimize its role in carrying out DPDs three functions of legislation, budgeting as well as supervision and representation.
