Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Lavinia Tananta from Central Java won the Garuda Indonesia Tennis Open 2014 championship on Sunday beating Voni Darlian from East Java 6-0, 6-1 in the final round at Hotel Borobudur tennis court.

Lavinia was a second seeded player in the tournament while Darlina was a third seeded player.

Playing in the main court Lavinia had no problem dealing with long rallies and took a lot of benefits from her opponents own mistakes.

Lavinia gave no chance for her opponent to develop her play and closed the first set 6-0.

In the second set Voni again made a lot of mistakes. Her backhand and forehand shots often went out of the court line and dropped at the net.

Within 20 minutes Lavinia was already able to win 4-0.

Voni took a point in the next game but Lavinia could win the next two games to close the match 6-1 on her favor.

"I had a lot of advantages from her performance. She was probably not fit during the match. Initially I thought that it would be a tight match," Lavinia said after the match.

For her victory Lavinia received a trophy and a prize of cash money worth US$3,000 and an Ertiga Suzuki car while Voni only a trophy and US$2000 in cash prize.
