"We will surely sue the justice and human rights ministry for being ambivalent and that can endanger the Jokowi-JK administration," Soesatyo said in short message text here Tuesday.
The Golkar, under the leadership of Aburizal Bakrie, will file a lawsuit at the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN).
Responding to the Golkar Partys two rival camps application seeking legitimacy from the government, the ministry asked the rival camps to first try and solve the problem internally.
The response is contrary to what Justice and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly did while dealing with the United Development Party (PPP), which was also split into two rival camps.
Within hours, Minister Laoly went ahead and issued a decree recognizing Rohmahurmuziys PPP, which supports the government, while the other camp took the dispute to the PTUN.
The PPP had split into two camps following two separate leadership congresses in October 2014. Two chairmen were elected: Djan Faridz at the Jakarta Congress and Romahurmuziy at the Surabaya Congress.
A similar situation has arisen in the Golkar Party, which has been split into two rival camps headed by Aburizal Bakrie and Agung Laksono.
The two rival camps on December 8, 2014, separately submitted reports about the new structures of the partys leadership and sought an official registration in the ministry.
"After considering various aspects such as jurisdictions, facts, and documents, we concluded it was a (internal) dispute that the justice and human rights ministry must not intervene in," Minister Laoly explained here on Tuesday (Dec. 16).
Therefore, the ministry decided not to make any decision on the rival camps request for legitimacy and asked them instead to seek a solution from the partys legal council.
Bambang Soesatyo called the ministers stance ambivalent and hence will file a lawsuit.
