Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Chief of the Indonesia National SAR Agency FH Bambang Soelistyo said several teams of divers will touch seabed to find AirAsia flight QZ8501s black box as and when a ping signal is received from an emergency locator transmitter.

"We have several divers ready. We can send them to confirm the location of the black box as soon as we get a ping signal," he said here on Friday.

Several teams have been prepared and are ready in a number of vessels that have the ability to detect ping signals from a black box.

However, the Chief added that diving will depend on weather and wave conditions as well as underwater visibility range.

"If the weather and waves are in good condition and visibility range perfect, I will command the divers to go ahead than wait for the Remotely Underwater Operated Vehicle, so we can discover the black box faster," Soelistyo noted.

The Jadayat vessel and the National Transportation Safety Committee are still searching for signal from the black box so that they can lift AirAsia QZ8501s tail.

"Many divers are focusing the search on the location of the tail so as to help lift it," Soelistyo pointed out.

The tail will be lifted using two apparatus: a floating balloon and a crane so as to avoid any damage to it. Based on the SAR Agencys analysis, the black box is still in the tail.

Once the tail is lifted, it will become clear whether the black box is still in it or not.

"Thus, we are not wasting time to first ensure the location of the black box," Soelistyo observed.
