The efforts to make up for the lost of time in reaching the target has been successful."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Coordinating Minister for Economy Sofyan Djalil said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has passed order for acceleration of the implementation of government development programs.
The instruction is addressed mainly to ministries which have been under performing until mid May, 2015, Sofyan said here.
He said there are a number of ministries falling behind in the implementation of their programs but there are also ministries which have recorded faster progress than in the same period last year.
The trend now is better ans faster especially as budget funds have been disbursed for some projects, he said.
He said there is no more problem in the procurement of goods and services that implementation of infrastructure projects is expected to be smooth for the rest of the year.
"The efforts to make up for the lost of time in reaching the target has been successful. There had been delay in the implementation of programs because of the revision of the state budget, but now we have succeeded in offsetting the delay," he said.
President Jokowi has expressed the hope that economic growth could be boosted in the second quarter and the rest of the year.
"We are no now faster than in 2014 and hopefully the economy would grow faster in the second quarter and the following quarters," he said.
