Medan (ANTARA News) - A landslide killed seven people in North Padang Sidempuan sub-district, Padang Sidempuan City, on Monday afternoon.

The landslide buried a house owned by Bisri Lubis who was receiving some guests at the time when the disaster struck, Senior Commissioner of the North Sumatra Police Helfi Assegaf stated here on Tuesday.

The seven casualties are Maryam Lubis (5), Muhammad Al-Imam (2), a two-month-old infant Ibrahim, Zainab Piliang (4), Mariam Piliang (5), Aisyah (8), and Nuraini (30).

Ten people were hit by the landslide, but only three survived after being rescued. The three survivors: Nelly Sari (31), Umar (2), and Anisa (8) were rushed to Padang Sidempuan Public Hospital for medical treatment.

Of the seven casualties, five bodies have been found, and two are still missing.
