Anoms body was first spotted by Suyono, a local resident when he went into the forest to collect cattle feed.
"After seeing someone lying prostrate in the forest, I ran away in fear and cried for help," Suyono said.
He then reported the matter to hamlet head Abdul Sukur, who subsequently reported it to the police.
Chief of Melaya village police sector, Commissioner Nyoman Nirman, stated a forensic survey conducted at the scene did not show any signs of violence on the victims body.
"The body has been kept at Negaras public hospital pending the arrival of the victims family. We are still awaiting the familys decision on whether they would be satisfied with the result of external examination or would want to opt for an autopsy," the police explained.
Police also found a white motor bike, Suzuki Skywave, allegedly belonging to the victim, around 500 meters away from the spot from where the victims body was found.
In addition, a glass of mineral water containing some liquid was also found near the victims body.
Apart from that, police also found a cell phone as well as more than Rp2 million in cash from the pockets of the pants worn by the victim.(*)
