Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will hold a dinner to welcome the delegations here to participate in the 5th Organization of Islamic Cooperation Extraordinary Summit on Sunday (March 6), according to a media release issued by the presidential secretariat.

Media affairs bureau chief of the presidential secretariat Bey Machmudin said in the press release received here on Saturday said that the dinner function will be held at the Assembly Hall 2 & 3 of the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).

The summit will take place at the JCC here on March 6 and 7, 2016, and aims to strengthen support to find a solution to the Palestinian issue as a matter of priority for the Islamic world.

"As the host country, Indonesia must play its role to support the Palestinians, not only in ending the violence, but also to expand the markets of the Islamic countries to revive the economy of the Palestinian people," Inter-parliamentary Cooperation Board (BKSAP) Deputy Chairman Rofi Munawar said.

He added that the Palestinian problem was not just a matter of one religious community, but also a struggle being waged for humanity against colonialism in the world, he added.(*)
