Upon arrival, Indonesian President Jokowi, as he is also called, greeted the Chancellor who then led him to the podium for a ceremony held in his honor.
The ceremony started at 14.05pm local time with the anthems of the two countries being played.
Afterwards, the two heads of state inspected the guard of honor and then entered the meeting room.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Trade Minister Thomas Lembong, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and head of Capital Investment Board Fransky Sibarani attended the ceremony.
President Jokowi had earlier met with German president Joachim Gauck at the presidential office in Berlin.
President Jokowi and his entourage arrived at the office of the German president at around 11.25am local time.
Minister Darmin Nasution, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung accompanied the president for the meeting.(*)
