The Indonesian Women Unity of the embassy participated in the International Cuisine Day held in Namibia University Science and Technology (NUST), according to the press release received by Antara here on Saturday.
Cultural promotion through culinary delights is an effective effort to introduce Indonesia as a country that has various cuisines, Indonesian Ambassador Eddy Basuki said.
The active participation of the embassy and the women unity in promoting cuisines can be a stimulant to promote the tourism sector and culture of Indonesia in Namibia, Basuki added.
The unity also provided other cuisines including onde-onde, risoles, and bakwan.
The students and academics of NUST bought all of the meals, according to the embassy.
Among other countries that participated in the International Cuisine Day were Spain, China, Russia and Portugal.
The celebration is a part of Nust Cultural Festival held from 8 to 12 August 2016.
