At a gala dinner held here on Friday evening (Sept. 2), the tourism affairs ministry presented various dances with a background of videos depicting the various sites of tourist interest in Indonesia.
Apart from the dinner party, the Ministry of Tourism also distributed souvenirs to the participants of the conference.
The APOC, according to a written statement issued by the tourism ministry, will help achieve the target of enhancing the number of tourist arrivals to Indonesia to 12 million in 2016 and 20 million in 2019.
The conference was part of the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition or Meetings) strategy aimed at attracting more foreign tourists.
Earlier, Tourism Minister Arief Yahya stated that MICE holds massive tourism potential, especially in Bali, Jakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Bandung, Medan, Makassar, Balikpapan and Manado.
