"Twenty-eight official delegations have confirmed participation in the event, of which 22 will set up a pavilion at the Indo Defense Expo," Director of Technology and Defense Industry at the Directorate General of Defense Potential at the Defense Ministry, Brigadier General Jan Pieter Ate, said here on Wednesday.
He disclosed that six defense ministers and delegations from 28 foreign countries will attend the exhibition.
The defense ministers of Greece, Pakistan, Singapore, Timor Leste, the Czech Republic and the Philippines will be attending the event.
Jan Pieter expected that the defense industry players will enter into more cooperation agreements.
At least 844 defense industries will be participating in the exhibition, including Airbus, Yugoimport, Damen Schelde, SAAB, Rheinmetall, Lockheed Martin, Otokar, KAI, PT. Dirgantara Indonesia and PT. Pindad.
Indo Defense Expo 2016 will be held in Jakarta from November 2 to 5, spearheading the development of defense industry, aerospace, security services, marine technology and related applications in the Southeast Asian region.(*)
