Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) hopes for the mass prayers in the National Monument complex, Central Jakarta, to go on very peacefully.

In the midst of his inspection to the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium in Jakarta, Friday, he expressed his wishes for the mass prayers action to go on according to the joint commitment that have previously been laid down.

"(I wish for the activity) to go on according to the commitment, which is very peacefully. Very," he said.

The President urged every party involved to play their roles accordingly, including the security forces.

"You can inquire directly to the Police Chief, there will be activities in the National Monument, the House of Representatives complex, and mass prayers. You can ask all the details to the Police Chief," he said.

The former Jakarta Governor has returned to the State Palace after spending less than an hour inspecting the preparation for 2018 Asian Games venue in the Stadium.

He is reluctant to give details regarding his next agenda for the day, but he assured that he will be working as per usual.

"I will be doing the Friday prayer, surely, but I am not sure where just yet," he revealed.

Especially to the security forces on duty, the President urge them to carry out their roles accordingly.

"Maintain safety during the activity," he said.(*)
