A commissioner of OJK for consumer education and protection Kusumaningtuti S Soetiono said OJK needs support from all concerned to meet the target.
"We certainly will work hard with initiative, program and good coordination. We could not do it ourselves alone," Kusumaningtuti told reporters here on Tuesday.
Earlier the government through a presidential regulation No. 82 of 2016 on National Strategy for Inclusive Finance set the inclusive finance index target at 75 percent in 2019.
Currently based on a survey by OJK in 2016, the countrys inclusive finance index was 67.82 percent, up from 59.74 percent in 2013.
Kusumaningtuti said, "It is not as easy as it looks to reach the target. Though optimistic we could not do it alone."
She said OJK would focus on increasing the inclusive finance index for middle to lower class people.(*)
