Bandar Lampung (ANTARA News) - The Resort Police Department of Bandar Lampung has destroyed drugs, valued at around hundreds of millions of rupiah, that were confiscated in cases in around three months.

"This is the Bandar Lampung police departments achievement in three months and unveils the circulation of drugs," Lampung Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Sudjarno stated in Bandar Lampung on Thursday.

He noted that in merely three months, the police departments, along with the related institutions, had managed to unveil the phenomenon of drug trafficking, and this is one of the ways to stop the circulation of narcotics.

His team will continue to take strict actions, one of them being shooting drug dealers at the scene of crime if they attempt to evade arrest or try to escape.

"Killing the culprits at the scene of crime will serve as a warning to drug dealers. We will remain indiscriminate in the fight against drugs," he remarked.

Moreover, Bandar Lampung Police Chief Commisioner Murbani Budi Pitono pointed out that the evidences being destroyed were confiscated during three months of investigations.

"The items confiscated in three months, not only include drugs but also alcoholic beverages and pirated DVDs," he stated.

The evidences being destroyed were three kilograms of crystal meth; 30.5 kilograms of dry marijuana; 2,642 bottles of alcoholic beverages; and 2,964 pirated DVDs.

He also stated that one gram of crystal meth could be consumed by five people, thus three kilograms could be used by 15 thousand people.
