It is a good start to prevent miscommunication between us or the leaders who had led the country."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The 6th Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) visited Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, to meet President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and to discuss current national issues.

The twice-elected president will take part in a luncheon in the palace on Thursday afternoon and have a warm discussion with Jokowi on the palace balcony.

According to Jokowi, he and SBY discussed various topics, including domestic politic situation and national economy development.

During the meeting, Jokowi and SBY enjoyed tea and lumpia spring rolls.

Jokowi stated that the meeting had been planned several weeks ago. However, the meeting was rescheduled because of the presidents tight schedule.

"As I had informed before, I rescheduled my agenda to meet SBY. Alhamdulillah, both of us can share time today," Jokowi remarked.

Meanwhile, SBY expressed his gratitude to Jokowi for inviting him to the palace to hold the talks.

He hopes that the discussion could resolve and prevent further misunderstandings and help create a stable political situation.

"I am delighted to hold a discussion with Jokowi. It is a good start to prevent miscommunication between us or the leaders who had led the country," Yudhoyono underlined.

During the visit, Yudhoyono was accompanied by the former Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law and Security Djoko Suyanto.
