All types of banking loans extended in February 2017 recorded an increase with working capital credit (KMK) rising 11.8 percent, and investment credit increasing 9.7 percent, Executive Director of BI Communication Department Tirta Segara said here on Sunday.
"The working capital credit reached Rp2,042 trillion and investment credit stood at Rp1,119 trillion in February 2017," he said.
The central bank noted that the growth of working capital credit was particularly found in the manufacturing industry which grew 8.2 percent yoy compared to 1.2 percent a month earlier and the financial, property and service sectors which grew 21.8 percent yoy compared to 13.5 percent a month earlier.
The growth of investment credit was particularly found in the trade, hotel and restaurant sector which grew 15.8 percent from 10.9 percent yoy, and the financial, property and service sector which expanded 15.9 percent yoy from 13.8 percent yoy in January 2017.
The mount of micro small and medium business credits extended in February grew significantly 29.8 percent to Rp946.3 trillion yoy compared to 8.5 percent yoy in January 2017.
"The increase in the amount of micro small and medium business credits was found in working capital and investment," he said.(*)
