Bey Machmudin, Head of Press, Media and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, stated in a press release that the presidential plane landed promptly at 2.15 local time, four hours after it took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta.
Robert A Borja, Protocol Head of the Philippines Foreign Affairs Ministry, and Johny J Lumintang, Indonesian Ambassador to the Philippines, welcomed Jokowi and his wife.
Emmanuel Pinol, Philippine Agriculture Minister, Maria Lumen B Isleta, Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia, and Antonio Calixto, Pasay City Mayor, also welcomed Jokowi and his wife.
Indonesian president and his wife were presented flowers by a pair of children. They, then walked through the red carpet and passed the ranks of honor.
From the airport, the president and his entourage went to the hotel where they will be staying during the visit in Manila.
In the afternoon, President Jokowi and his entourage will visit the Malacanang Palace to meet with Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
After being greeted in a state ceremony, the two presidents will hold a "tete-a-tete" meeting followed by a bilateral meeting, the signing of a cooperation document and a joint press statement.
In the evening, Jokowi and his wife will attend a state dinner invitation at the Malacanang Palace.
