C. Halmahera (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the seaports of Tapaleo, Wayabuka, and Bicoli in Tepeleo Village, North Patani Sub-district, Central Halmahera District, on Monday.

Head of the Press, Media, and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin stated here on Monday that the presidents work visit to North Maluku Province kicked off with the inauguration of the seaports.

The president and First Lady Iriana departed for the Sultan Babullah Airport, Ternate City, North Maluku, from the Syamsudin Noor Airport, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, aboard the Presidential aircraft Indonesia-1 at 8:30 local time.

From Ternate, President Widodo and the First Lady, along with the entourage, will continue their journey to Central Halmahera aboard the Indonesian Air Forces Super Puma helicopter.

After inaugurating the port, the president will hand over the Smart Indonesia Card, Supplementary Food Grant from the Family Program, and Healthy Indonesia Card at an elementary school located in Tepeleo Village, North Patani Sub-district, Central Halmahera District, North Maluku.

In the afternoon, the president and First Lady along with the entourage will return to Ternate aboard the Super Puma helicopter.

The handover of land certificates to several people is the final agenda of the presidents work visit today.

Several officials accompanying President Widodo and the First Lady on flights from the Samsyudin Noor Airport, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, to the Sultan Babullah Airport, Ternate, North Maluku, were Agrarian and Spatial Minister Sofyan Djalil, Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Minister of Health Nila Moeloek, Social Minister Khofifah Indar Parawansa, and Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki.
