"The web-based integrated health service is called e-Puskesmas (electronic community health center), and people will be able to access online all types of health services," Robby Mottoh, Head of Manado Health Office, said here, Wednesday.
He revealed the e-Puskesmas could accommodate more than 90 types of reports on communities with 12 service features.
The e-Puskesmas service will be integrated with the Healthcare and Social Security Agency, so it can help register participants via short message, he added.
"The e-Puskesmas will also provide services at 16 community health centers in Manado, from Malalayang sub-district to Bunaken Kepulauan sub-district, including Tongkaina village," he mentioned.
He affirmed the e-Puskesmas service had been created in accordance with the vision and mission of the mayor and deputy mayor of Manado to make Manado a smart city, and ensure it is well connected to the internet.
Mottoh emphasized that once the e-Puskesmas is launched, services could be accessed through Manado Health Office and Manado intelligent command center (C3) at the office of the citys mayor.
"We hope the e-Puskesmas service can improve and even optimize health services for all Manado people, also reaching those who live in remote areas," he noted.
In addition, he stressed online services would ensure they are provided in a transparent manner. (*)
