Several business leaders who have keen interest in establishing cooperation with Indonesia will meet Jokowi."Ankara (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), on his state visit to Turkey, was welcomed by a herd of horsemen and soldiers wearing traditional army uniforms from the Ottoman Empire at the Turkish Presidential Palace, Beyaz Saray.
The Turkish government had prepared the welcoming state ceremony a few hours before the arrival of Jokowi to Beyaz Saray.
Jokowi earlier laid wreaths of red and white flowers at the grave of the founder and first president of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in Anitkabir as known as the mausoleum of Ataturk.
Jokowi and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo arrived at Ataturk Mausoleum Complex in Ankara on Thursday at around 09.00 local time.
He was guarded by the special Turkish troops in laying the bouquet at the tomb of the founder.
The president, accompanied by his entourage including ministers, observed a moment of silence at the Ataturk Mausoleum.
Furthermore, he performed a tahiyatul masjid prayer as soon as he arrived at the biggest mosque at Ankara city, Kocatepe Mosque in Kocatepe complex, in Kizilay, Ankara.
The tahiyatul masjid prayer was a symbolic gesture of respect toward a mosque.
Jokowi, who was accompanied by Iriana, arrived at Kocatepe Mosque in Kizilay on Thursday at around 09.20 local time.
Indonesian people who live in Turkey welcomed Jokowi at the largest mosque.
Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi earlier stated that Jokowi will discuss economic development and security cooperation with his Turkish counterpart.
Marsudi stated that Jokowi will enhance cooperation on economic development by inaugurating the Indonesia-Turkey Comprehensive Economic Partnership (IT-CEPA).
Indonesia and Turkey will also develop cooperation in the strategic industry sector.
Additionally, Jokowi will discuss cooperation in the field of counterterrorism with Erdogan.
Both presidents will also witness the signing ceremony for cooperation in the health sector and the inauguration of the IT-CEPA.
Both will issue a joint press statement and attend a state luncheon.
After meeting Erdogan, Jokowi will also hold one-on-one meetings with business sector leaders.
"Several business leaders who have keen interest in establishing cooperation with Indonesia will meet Jokowi," Marsudi noted.
