According to Rahardjo, the visit of MACCs chairman is to strengthen cooperation and to support the KPKs effort in handling the corruption cases in Indonesia.
"Today, we receive a guest, namely our cognate brother from Malaysia. He is Dzulkifli, chairman of MACC. You can imagine that (MACC) is already 50 years old and has 14 branch offices across Malaysia," Rahardjo noted.
On the occasion, Dzukifli remarked that his visit to KPK is aimed at reaffirming cooperation on corruption issues involving the two countries.
"We will deal with cooperation between KPK and Malaysia to handle (graft) issues between the two countries, particularly those involving the flow of corruption money into Indonesia or to Malaysia," Dzukifli disclosed.
In the meantime, Dzukifli expressed his intention to invite the KPKs chief in a bid to attend the 50th anniversary of MACC, as well as the inauguration of the MACCs new building, which is expected to be held on Oct 1, 2017.
"We invite the KPK commissioner to visit (Malaysia) on Oct 1 for the 50th anniversary and inauguration the MACCs new building," Dzukifli added.(*)
