"I was given the mandate to hand over the sacrificial animals from the president to the people in Palu City. This is the president's special attention to the people," Minister Karding told residents at the Petobo permanent housing complex, Palu, according to a written statement from the Ministry of P2MI here on Friday.
Accompanied by Palu Mayor Hadianto Rasyid after the Eid al-Adha prayers, Minister Karding reiterated that the donation of those sacrificial animals was a direct demonstration of the president's care for Palu residents.
He emphasized that distributing those sacrificial animals to residents of the Petobo permanent housing complex represented the government's genuine concern for those affected by the earthquake and tsunami several years ago.
"Those sacrificial animals are a sign of the president's love for the people. This act shows the government's attention and awareness towards its citizens," Minister Karding affirmed.
During the Eid al-Adha celebrations, Minister Karding also urged the public to uphold the values of sincerity, sacrifice, and leadership by Prophet Ibrahim.
He expressed hope that the spirit demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim would become the foundation for encouraging togetherness and solidarity between communities and between the government and residents in Palu City.
"May the values of sincerity, sacrifice, and leadership by Prophet Ibrahim inspire all of us in Palu City," the minister remarked.
